The fifth day of the Magh (Hindu calendar) month is the day when Basant Panchami is celebrated. It is on this day pran pratishtha of Maharaj Ji’s moorti was performed in 1981. Maharajji’s temple exists at the same place where his funeral pyre was lit when he left his body. From then on a Bhandara is held every year on this day. Basant Panchami falls in the month of January/February.
