Hanuman Jayanti Bhandara

Hanuman ji is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and is worshipped for his unflinching devotion to Lord Sri Ram. He is the symbol of strength and energy. Hanuman Jayanti or Hanumath Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Hanuman ji. It is celebrated on the Poornima of the Chaitra month of the Hindu calendar.

A Bhandara is held every year at the Ashram on this day. It commences with the Akhand Ramcharitramans paath a day prior. On completion of the paath, yagya is performed at the yagyashala of the Ashram. On completion of the yagya the devotees are offered prasaad. Sadhus and school children are offered prasaad first as a mark of respect, followed by all the devotees. Thus is followed by Sunderkand Paath in the afternoon at the Maharajj’s Mandir. Evening is filled with devotional songs and music with a performance of sehnai and nafiri in front of Hanuman ji’s mandir.
